Lahdelma & Mahlamäki Architects announced as winners of the Kaleva-Hakametsä competition
We’re extremely proud to announce that we have been chosen as winners of the Kaleva-Hakametsä local centre competition
The winning entry of an invitational competition 'Sarana' (hinge) will be built around a square with connecting stops, surrounded by a local market, services, cafes, restaurants and other commercial premises having apartment floors above them. The 'hinge' also smoothly connects the traffic flows of trams, buses, cars and bicycles. The dense and distinctive urban environment will be a new place for locals to meet and mingle.
